About the position

The Senior Radiologic Technologist, CF (Specialist) at Pelican Bay State Prison performs the most difficult technical radiological work and provides lead direction to the Radiologic Technologists, CF, lower-level staff, and/or the incarcerated workers. This position is under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II. The role includes maintaining order and supervising the conduct of the incarcerated while ensuring the safety of persons and property. The position is located in Crescent City, CA, and is a permanent, full-time role with a salary range of $6,585.00 - $7,668.00 per month.

Responsibilities

  • Perform difficult technical radiological work.
  • Provide lead direction to Radiologic Technologists and lower-level staff.
  • Maintain order and supervise the conduct of the incarcerated.
  • Protect and maintain the safety of persons and property.

Requirements

  • Possession of a current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the California State Department of Health Services.
  • One year of experience performing the duties of a Radiologic Technologist, Correctional Facility, in the California state service, or three years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods under an accredited medical radiologist.
  • Successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association may substitute for one year of required experience.
