As a Sentinel Radar Systems Engineer, you will participate in challenging multi-disciplinary work consisting of: Radar Development and Test Integration & Test of Radar Hardware and Software Flight Tests and Performance Analysis Radar System Sell-Off Production Support

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and five (5) years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in developing radar or RF systems
  • Experience in System Integration & Test of hardware and software
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Secret - Current

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM degree
  • Experience working on a team and by yourself, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines and developing and presenting technical briefings
  • Experience with radar design, hardware/software integration, test and verification
  • Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations and using Software Configuration Management tools
  • Course work or experience in some of the following fields: radar, signal & image processing, radar and/or EO/IR environment models, digital communications, probability and statistics, linear algebra, estimation theory, optimal control, system architecture

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the ensuring hardware are trace to of radar requirements
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of modeling solutions, and subsequently conduct trade studies and evaluation of system and subsystem performance
  • Work in a team environment, receiving inputs from the team supervisors and providing guidance and/or direction to other team members
  • Support hands-on operational Integration and Test at the Fullerton Test Site
  • Support flight tests and analyze collected data to evaluate radar performance
  • Support CONUS and OCONUS radar system sell-off to the customer
  • Support Production with troubleshooting and generating test plan and procedure
  • Provide transparent identification and communication of issues to functional leadership and engagement for resources (Subject Matter Experts, etc.) to resolve production issues rapidly and efficiently.
  • Ability to travel ~10%
