Raytheon's Field Engineering team is looking for a Senior Radar / Coyote UAS Field Technician(s) to join our field MFRFS program team. Our MFRFS (Multi-Function Radar Frequency System) program is a team of experienced technical professionals who are responsible for the MFRFS radar systems and Coyote UAS weapon platform. In this role you will be responsible for supporting / overseeing operation and maintenance activities of RF sensor systems and the Coyote UAS weapon system in Iraq and other Middle East, and other undisclosed locations. The role will be Onsite based in McKinney, TX, when not on deployment. Extensive travel will be required; up to 100% to include Iraq and other international destinations. Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignments including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5+ years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3+ years’ experience.
  • Experience working with Depot Support maintenance experience on electronics or radar.
  • Experience with formulating and briefing technical reporting on both Radar and Coyote UAS Systems.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals / technical bulletins.
  • Experience with performing technical procedures and subsequently annotate precise documentation regarding system maintenance and troubleshooting actions.
  • Experience with resources and test equipment is commonly used in electronic installation, maintenance, and testing.
  • Comprehension of basic radar theory.
  • Active and transferable US government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in military environment, graduate of US military sensor or radar technical school (e.g., US Army MOS 94M Radar Maintainer; MOS 14E Patriot Fire Control Enhanced Operator / Maintainer).
  • Experience with driving a vehicle equipped with manual transmission.
  • Experience with COLTS Logistics Database familiarization and/or Certification.
  • Experience with CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) Process.
  • Experience working on Sentinel Radars, KuRFS Radar Systems, Q36/Q37 Fire Finder Radar Systems, LCMR (Lightweight Counter Mortar Radar).
  • Experience with sensor or radar system operations and maintenance.
  • Experience with tactical HVAC systems.
  • Experience with UAS assembly, disassembly, and repair.
  • Experience with 1.4 explosives or gas generators.
  • Experience as a UAS maintainer/pilot.
  • Experience with munitions handling/loading.
  • Experience deploying in a combat environment.
  • Excellent technical writing, oral communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of military protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Multi-Function RF System (MFRFS) radar systems and / or the Coyote UAS weapon platform.
  • Technical expert answering all technical questions regarding the operation and maintenance of the systems.
  • Provide guidance to the US Army soldiers to complete emplacement, tactical operation, preventive maintenance, and march order tasks.
  • Responsible for inventory control of a stock of field level replaceable spare parts and record all maintenance related actions.
  • Align priorities appropriately.
  • Balance mission requirements and mandatory administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Work in an austere environment at Forward Operating Bases and remote locations.
  • Provide support to all locations on a rotational basis (average 4-5 months per rotation).
