About The Position

The position involves engaging with stakeholders to define project objectives and acceptance criteria, developing project plans, conducting data gathering and coding to deliver proofs-of-concept, iterating until acceptance criteria are met, refactoring code for production compliance, and deploying and monitoring solutions. The role also includes providing thorough documentation to mitigate key-person risk. Remote work requests will be considered consistent with the company's remote work policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, related field, or foreign equivalent and 3 years of relevant quantitative experience in a Quantitative Analyst or similar role
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, related field, or foreign equivalent and 1 year of relevant quantitative experience in a Quantitative Analyst or similar role
  • Experience with Python, SQL, and Amazon Web Services, including data management tools and cloud computing capabilities
  • Experience with driving projects in Jira
  • Experience with statistical concepts and applications
  • Experience with machine learning applications
  • Experience with financial concepts and theories
  • Experience with bitbucket and git for code repository management and version control
  • Experience with interpretation of stakeholder requirements for project implementation
  • Must possess unrestricted right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to define project objectives and acceptance criteria
  • Develop a plan as acting project manager for smaller projects or in collaboration with the project manager for larger projects
  • Conduct all necessary gathering, data engineering, and coding to deliver a proof-of-concept to stakeholders
  • Iterate until acceptance criteria are met
  • Refactor code to be production-compliant and work with devops engineers to integrate code into cloud-based infrastructure
  • Deploy, monitor, and enhance as necessary
  • Provide thorough documentation to reduce key-person risk
