About The Position

In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. The impact you’ll make Develops, implements and maintains the activities of quality control systems. Oversees development and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. Develops budget and monitors expenditures. Makes recommendations for corrective action necessary to ensure conformity with quality specifications. Ensures finished products conform to government and company standards and satisfy good manufacturing practices regulations. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Twelve (12) years of experience in a similar role, supporting a manufacturing quality environment.
  • Six (6) to eight (8) years of experience managing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated resilience and success working in a global high-tech, matrixed, and highly dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • An advanced degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of professional Quality Engineers and GPS Engineers.
  • Define KPIs and targets for Manufacturing Quality aligned with factory management priorities and initiatives.
  • Identify deficiencies and areas for development in the Quality Management System and lead the teams in selecting methods and techniques to address gaps.
  • Managing field teams to ensure they are meeting I&W + (Machine Availability) MA Metrics.
  • Apply experience and advanced skills in the analysis of factory quality data to drive improvement in operational excellence in execution.
  • Study field installation data to identify trends and implement updates or changes to manufacturing quality defect detection processes to reduce/eliminate escapes.
  • Responsible for monitoring the quality of investigations and RCCA (Root Cause/Corrective Action) conducted by subordinate QEs and stakeholders (Product Groups and Supply Chain) ensuring high probability that issues will not recur.
  • Coach Quality Engineers on their assigned tasks and professional development to ensure team growth in both capability and maturity.
  • Represent the site in quality operations reviews and QMS assessments (e.g. ISO 9001) projecting a strong and effective quality management system.
