Summary: Senior Level Quality Inspector will have knowledge of quality control inspection set ups and protocols for the inspection process of manufactured products. Parts will be inspected to a sampling plan or 100% inspected based on customer requirements. This position requires knowledge of drawing interpretation in accordance with ANSI-14.5. As required by AS9100D, all paperwork will be completed and archived in accordance with third level procedures governing receiving of outside processed parts and those produced at our facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Read and communicate in English.
  • Good communication skills
  • Work well with others to maintain the team environment.
  • Proficient with hand tools, inspection equipment
  • Proficiency with drawing interpretation.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and background investigation.
  • Individual must be a Citizen of the United States, or Permanent resident alien of the United States, or Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

Responsibilities

  • Follow third level quality procedures for receiving and final inspection prior to release of parts to packaging department.
  • Capable of using 30” comparator and Vertex inspection equipment proficiently.
  • Capable of creating programs for the Vertex equipment.
  • Work with limited inspection team members for guidance on inspection techniques.
  • Assist Quality Engineer with self-release inspections as needed.
  • Organize and facilitate calibration program for measuring tools and equipment within the QC department and throughout manufacturing.
  • Call for MRB review as needed. Involve all parties who have a stake in the outcome of the review.
  • Maintain traceability of the products moving through QC.
  • Work with production team members for process inspection requests, as needed.
