We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Quality Improvement Project Coordinator - Cardiac Cath Lab - Full Time - Cardiac Cath Lab - F. In this role, the successful candidate will actively support and promote a culture of quality and safety throughout NYU Langone Medical Center including internally generated projects and projects required by external regulatory and other entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in pertinent field (clinical informatics, information management, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, health care administration, nursing, or similar field) with 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiar with the tools and techniques of quality performance measurement: measure design, data sources, data management, data analysis, graphic display of results
  • Familiarity with clinical information including diagnostic coding and clinical databases
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Familiar with other database and analytic tools a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for a variety of audiences
  • Knowledge of Cardiology

  • RN license
  • Skills in performance improvement, time/change management a plus
  • Presentation skills
  • Understanding regulatory requirements for Cardiology including ACC, NCDR, and DOH

Responsibilities

  • Participate in and assist management with clinical quality performance measurement and improvement activities in the Department of Clinical Quality and Effectiveness
  • Plan and manage interdepartmental and inter organizational projects as determined by Departmental leadership
  • Assemble and maintain project plans and documentation of project progress using standardized project management tools in accordance with departmental and organizational guidelines
  • Manage project meetings using project plans to meet key deadlines and ensure progress on the project
  • Provide support to departmental leadership on special projects as needed
  • Build and promote positive working relationships with all stakeholders internal and external
  • Coordinate project communication with impacted areas across the enterprise and partnered organizations
  • Support management with timely and accurate data submission to regulatory and external quality performance measurement registries
  • Develop internal quality performance measures and regular reports to support departmental and organizational improvement goals
  • Perform any other activities related to quality as deemed necessary
