About The Position

Firestone Airide, specializes in air spring manufacturing and technology with a history of more than 80 years of research and development on technologically advanced air springs for the global marketplace. Firestone engineers air springs and related products for commercial trucks and trailers, cars, sport utility vehicles, light trucks, mini vans, motor homes, buses, agricultural equipment, rail and industrial applications. This position is located in beautiful Williamsburg, KY and is onsite 5 days per week, M-F with no weekend work. This is a customer facing role so this person must have strong interpersonal skills and exceptional customer service experience! Manufacturing Quality Assurance work includes: • Defining and specifying activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for a manufactured material, component, or product • Building and maintaining the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products • Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards • Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods

Requirements

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a master's degree; or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision
• Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals
• Supports continuous improvement/automation activities
• Uses advanced analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures
• Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Other duties as assigned
