About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team located in New Orleans, LA! This position requires a Bachelor's degree in one of the following relevant fields of study: Engineering Computer Science Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Mathematics Physics Chemistry This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• 5+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
• 5+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
• 5+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
• 1+ year of experience leading or managing projects/initiatives
• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years’ experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
• Provides interpretation of complex requirements.
• Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
• Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.
• Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
• Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
• Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.
• Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Develops and implements corrective actions.
• Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
• Works under minimal direction.
