Requirements

  • Requires bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
  • Extensive expertise in developing and implementing procedures compliant with ASME NQA-1 and NRC's 10 CFR Part 50 quality assurance requirements
  • Exceptional organizational skills with advanced document configuration management capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 application suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Current presentation skills, using PowerPoint and Power BI tools

  • Preferred experience: commercial nuclear power plant or DOE nuclear facility

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and reviews project Engineering documents (e.g., procedures, forms/templates, design aids, engineering instructions, etc.) to ensure alignment with Bechtel corporate and NS&E GBU procedures, TerraPower plans, procedures, templates, contract requirements, and applicable codes and standards
  • Develops and presents training on project Engineering documentation for Engineering personnel
  • Coordinates training matrices with Engineering management, discipline supervision and administration
  • Coordinates with project Engineering Automation and Management to identify, compile, and report engineering quality metrics and trends, enabling integration into the project's Power BI dashboard for real-time visibility and decision-making
  • Presents monthly project Engineering quality reports to Bechtel Management (and customer personnel as required)
  • Participates in project quality surveillances, audits and functional reviews
  • Provides guidance and training to engineering staff on Closed Loop Corrective Action (CLCA) program initiatives with project Engineering personnel
  • May represent the Engineering function at project Condition Report Review Committee (CRRC) meetings as a functional voting member when screening project CRs/RECs
  • Promotes Condition and/or Recommendation Reporting and Lessons Learned program, as available in DevonWay (or similar) application
  • Monitors timely closure of Engineering condition reports and associated actions
  • May issue Engineering quality bulletins on occasion to emphasize engineering process compliance
  • Communicates quality issues to the Engineering team in the form of positive feedback and lessons learned
  • Coordinates with client representatives, as required
  • Lead small task groups, as required
