About The Position

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support our Waste Water products for commercial and business jet platforms within the Interiors business in Everett, WA. In this highly visible role, you’ll serve as a quality leader across manufacturing and development, ensuring product integrity, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer outcomes. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams, site leadership, and customers to drive quality performance, lead critical MRB activities, and support Program Management Team (PMT) and customer engagements. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or Advanced degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MRB and structured root cause analysis highly preferred
  • Six Sigma / Lean process improvement experience (Green Belt preferred)
  • Working knowledge of AS9100
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers
  • Knowledge of measurement equipment and techniques (e.g., FARO, calipers, pin gauges)
  • Experience in Aerospace ideal, but not required
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Develop, apply, and continuously improve quality systems, controls, and documentation to meet internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze quality data to drive Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction and prevent customer escapes.
  • Manage escape investigations, coordinating cross-functional teams to resolve non-conformances and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Partner with operations, inspection, engineering, and program teams to ensure product conformance and effective change implementation.
  • Support PMT and customer meetings, maintaining strong customer relationships and contributing to quality scorecard performance.
  • Apply PPAP core tools (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, Control Plans) to identify and mitigate product and process risk.
  • Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Evaluate and support engineering change orders and new inspection methods or technologies.
