Job Description Essential Job Functions: Maintain and ensure compliance with the plant Quality Management System in alignment with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements. Lead root cause analysis and drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone). Support the Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and sustaining plant-level quality systems, standards, and procedures. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen) and Six Sigma methodologies. Provide statistical analysis (SPC, MSA, capability studies, sampling plans) to monitor process performance and identify improvement opportunities. Partner with Engineering and Operations to ensure successful new product launches (APQP/PPAP) and seamless transfer from development into production. Act as a key plant-floor resource, supporting production teams in resolving in-process quality issues and reducing scrap, rework, and downtime. Support and mentor Quality Inspectors and production personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures. Plan and conduct internal audits, layered process audits, and support external/customer audits; ensure timely closure of findings. Investigate customer complaints and internal nonconformances; implement robust corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Develop, maintain, and control plant quality documentation (control plans, work instructions, procedures, quality manuals). Oversee incoming and outgoing quality activities, including inspection processes and product release requirements. Drive continuous improvement of receiving inspection processes and supplier quality performance. Manage supplier quality performance by monitoring metrics, conducting audits, and driving corrective actions. Ensure timely resolution of supplier nonconformances and escalation as needed. Prepare and present Corrective Action Reports (CARs), quality metrics, and performance updates to plant leadership. Support plant KPIs related to quality (PPM, scrap, rework, customer returns, audit results). Qualifications: 5–7 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing. Knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA). Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Strong communication skills. Flexible schedule and ability to work overtime. Experience in Tier 1 automotive supplier environment. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt. Lead Auditor certification. Experience with ERP/QMS systems and tools such as Minitab. Requirements

  • 5–7 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
