About The Position
As the company continues to grow, QuidelOrtho is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to provide quality engineering support at the Rochester site. This role is critical in ensuring that the manufacturing processes meet the highest quality standards. The Senior Quality Engineer will work closely with Quality and Operations staff to address all aspects of the manufacturing process, focusing on resolving nonconformances through thorough root cause investigations and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions. The candidate will utilize key Quality Engineering principles, tools, and practices to develop and optimize process controls and quality system processes, identifying opportunities to improve quality and cost in alignment with QuidelOrtho's Quality Policy. In this position, the Senior Quality Engineer will apply statistical tools and sampling methodologies to evaluate quality events and develop appropriate CAPA monitoring plans. The role requires accurate risk assessment and the ability to drive quality-related decisions. The position is full-time and based onsite at the Rochester, New York facility, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and communication within the team to achieve quality objectives. The Senior Quality Engineer will also be responsible for mentoring and training junior quality engineering staff, providing coaching, training, and technical guidance to business partners regarding the company’s quality system requirements as they pertain to manufacturing quality. This role is essential in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
