Requirements

  • 4 year technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 or more years experience working in a manufacturing field, preferably with electronics hardware.
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience in a team environment with technical and non-technical coworkers.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI).
  • Experience with driving down Cost Of Poor Quality.
  • Experience with running reports on programs and pareto charts to drive down DPU.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a desire to learn within a highly collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with development hardware programs where design changes are common.
  • Experience using DISCUS tool for First Article Inspections (AS9102).

Responsibilities

  • Support programs in the value streams within the CAS Business Area.
  • Support the manufacturing floor with quality issues.
  • React to key program metrics.
  • Participate in root cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations.
  • Drive corrective actions and foster continuous improvements.
  • Protect the company/department from shipping nonconforming material.
  • Participate in RCCA with Corrective and Preventative Actions.
  • Understand AS9102 and perform First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Conduct hardware dispositions.
  • Provide operator feedback and inspections.
  • Investigate part issues and coordinate with SQE (Supplier Quality Engineering).
  • Perform data trending and action tracking.
  • Support audit processes.
