About The Position
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for championing supplier food safety and overseeing the procurement of raw materials and packaging for the entire Covington site. You will work with site experts and both internal and external partners to ensure the safety and effectiveness of General Mills' products and processes. Covington is a high-performance work system plant with approximately 465 team members that make cereal and salty snacks products supporting our Morning Foods and Snacks Operating Units. We have 8 manufacturing systems and 2 facilities that produce some of General Mills' most important brands, including Cheerios, Wheaties, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Bugles, Chex Mix, and more! The Covington plant is a strategic manufacturing site that has been in operation for over 35 years with long-standing community involvement in the area.
