Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions division is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineeer. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: Act as liaison between Engineering, Youngsville Plant Operations, and Supply Chain to focus on component quality and supplier qualification. Work with Manufacturing Quality, Receiving, Purchasing, and Engineering to manage and control incoming material and assist with supplier NCM inventory disposition. Resolve component issues with suppliers and Supply Chain. Lead activities related to issuing and resolving DMRs & RMA materials including the closure of the W2’s in SAP. Collaborate with CPS Supplier Development team to deliver responses from internal and external suppliers on the material disposition to closure of issue. Collect data on cost of poor quality and ensure the information is accurate and added to supplier DMRs for cost recovery. Work with SCM team to ensure RMA materials are processed weekly. Support cycle counts of NCM inventory. Support NPI Quality and Supplier Development team track newly added suppliers’ performance. Actively engage with the manufacturing quality and supplier development teams for feedback. Ensure first article and PPAP information is obtained and reviewed as required by EQS (Eaton Quality System). Support incoming inspection issue identified. Manage suspect part dispositioning/screening processes for parts in house at YPO, KWO, or CPO. Communicates with appropriate personnel regarding significant changes, problems, or proposed solutions. Leads process improvement projects to reduce CONC. Participant in the deployment of the Eaton Business System thru supporting Eaton Business Excellence, Supplier Excellence, and the Eaton Quality System. Foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork. Apply Six Sigma statistical techniques where appropriate to analyze and evaluate data to make informed decisions. Perform other duties as required.
