Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in mortgage underwriting.
5+ years' experience in underwriting mortgage loans.
Knowledge of agency and investor guidelines.
Excellent communication skills.
Advanced attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong prioritization and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

DE, LAPP, and SAR certifications preferred.
Experience with Encompass LOS system is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform Prefunding QC loan audits on assigned loan population to ensure quality and risk standards.
Conduct risk evaluations on mortgage loans.
Complete complex analyses on various loan products.
Evaluate underwriting decisions effectively.
Communicate findings and potential resolutions to the appropriate departments.
Document concerns or discrepancies for corrective action.
Provide support and assistance to the department as needed.
