Requirements

  • High school degree with 6 years of experience OR Associate degree in a technical scientific discipline with 4 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree in a technical scientific discipline with 2 years of experience
  • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects
  • Ability to work successfully in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to effectively follow procedural guidelines
  • Strong computer skills with excellent communication and writing skills

Nice To Haves

  • One to three years of experience in a biologic laboratory setting
  • Ability to assist in the development of study protocols to support the replacement of current reagents, improvement of current methodologies, and other departmental activities as identified
  • Ability to troubleshoot assay issues with a solid scientific foundation
  • Ability to assume additional technical responsibilities and complete them successfully with very little initial guidance and minimum supervision

Responsibilities

  • Potency test raw materials, experimental samples, in-process lot material, and final product animal vaccines by bacterial titrations, bacterial proof of inactivation or bacterial identification or other methodologies for USDA release and subsequent sale in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Assist testing investigations
  • Assist the area Team Leader in laboratory test scheduling
  • Participate in assay transfers.
  • Prepare and participate in Internal, Corporate, USDA, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits.
  • Review internal documents against regulatory requirements for accuracy and compliance.
