The Opportunity This position works out of our New Distribution Center in Altavista, VA within the Abbott Nutrition division. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Four years Quality experience.
  • Good written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical troubleshooting skills and the ability to multitask.
  • This position requires a high degree of teamwork, working well cross-functionally, high level of communication skills, and must perform all task with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals, ideally within an FDA regulated industry.
  • Logistics experience.
  • PCQI certification
  • Abbott validation training

Responsibilities

  • Manage all required compliance, and quality assurance expectations within the distribution space.
  • Manage CAPA Quality System, dispositions, and drive and develop corrective actions.
  • Perform internal audits to meet cGMP requirements.
  • Manage and report the QA KPIs for the DC space.
  • Under general direction, has duties of instructing, directing, and checking the work of operators at the distribution center.
  • Responsible for application of quality principles and complex analysis of quality records, reports and makes recommndations for improvements.
  • Validation of applicable systems and equipment within the DC space.
  • Updates, reviews, and creates procedures in the QA space for the DC.
  • May liaise with external vendors.
  • You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
