Guidehouse Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Testers lead quality assurance efforts across complex application development projects. They are responsible for defining testing strategies, mentoring junior testers, and ensuring that applications meet high standards for functionality, performance, and user experience. Our Senior QA Testers work closely with cross-functional teams to identify risks, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices. They bring deep expertise in testing frameworks, automation, and enterprise systems, and play a strategic role in delivering reliable solutions to clients.

  • Lead the design and execution of comprehensive test plans and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for web and enterprise applications.
  • Oversee functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
  • Collaborate with developers and analysts to ensure test coverage aligns with requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior testers, providing technical leadership and support.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in QA and testing automation.
  • Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart.
  • Architect and implement scalable test automation frameworks.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD workflows and ensure test coverage across environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum SIX (6) years of professional experience in software testing or QA.
  • Expertise in testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JMeter, Postman, or similar.
  • Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Proven ability to lead testing efforts across multiple projects.
  • Experience designing and implementing automated testing strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
  • Experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
  • Exposure to federal government software projects.
  • Experience with performance, security, and accessibility testing.
  • Familiarity with Appian platform or federal financial systems.
  • Experience integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of test data management and enterprise QA frameworks.
  • Experience testing Appian applications or federal financial systems.
  • Experience with advanced automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience with AI-driven testing platforms or model-based testing approaches.
  • Familiarity and/or experience implementing with low-code platforms.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Recent work experience on data projects in a federal government setting.
  • Understanding of responsible AI principles and model interpretability.
