About The Position
Perform end-to-end testing of software applications to ensure functionality, usability, and compatibility across multiple platforms. Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and plans based on project requirements and specifications. Conduct thorough regression testing to identify and address any defects or inconsistencies. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and timelines. Utilize SQL queries to validate data integrity and perform database testing as needed. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings to provide testing updates and feedback within an agile scrum framework. Document and report issues, bugs, and test results accurately using designated tracking tools. Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on testing best practices and methodologies. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in software testing techniques. Collaboration and Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and raise any concerns or blockers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of testing activities.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, processes, and best practices in an Agile environment.
- 4-8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on web application testing.
- Strong understanding of web application testing principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and database testing.
- Experience working in an agile scrum environment and familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with defect tracking systems, test management tools, and Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with API testing tools and methodologies (e.g., Postman, SOAPUI)
- ISTQB or similar certification in software testing is desirable but not required.
