About The Position

This is a key management position within Sipcam Agro Solutions (SAS) which is responsible for managing all aspects of quality to ensure quality production targets are achieved without sacrificing safety, compliance, and quality. Candidates for Senior QC & Formulation Manager will need robust experience in both Quality Control and agrochemical formulation development. This dual-role position will lead QC laboratory operations while also managing formulation development activities. The ideal candidate will ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and innovation across both functional areas while supporting continuous improvement methodologies. This role functions at our Waynesboro MS location and is a key member of the leadership team. This is a working manager role that requires the individual to seamlessly transition between strategic and tactical work. The position is also expected to work closely with the corporate operations team. Effective communication and interactions, cross-functionally with corporate teams, commercial, supply chain, SAS and finance teams will be essential.

Requirements

Education: Master’s degree or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: 7–12 years of experience in QC, formulation, or hybrid roles within the agrochemical or fine chemical sectors.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with EPA, FIFRA, GLP, GMP, and quality management systems.
Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Responsibilities

Quality Control Leadership: Oversee daily QC laboratory operations and ensure all analyses meet internal and regulatory standards.
Establish and validate analytical methods, SOPs, and quality protocols.
Ensure raw materials, intermediates, and finished products comply with specifications.
Lead investigations into deviations, non-conformities, and customer complaints.
Manage internal and external audits, calibration programs, and instrument maintenance.
Formulation Development: Develop and optimize formulations including EC, SC, SL, EW, and other agrochemical types.
Conduct studies on stability, compatibility, miscibility, and field performance.
Support process scale-up, pilot plant trials, and technology transfer to manufacturing.
Lead formulation projects from concept through commercialization.
Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Regulatory teams to ensure product robustness and compliance.
Cross-functional Technical Leadership: Provide training and guidance to teams, coordinate with production to ensure correct batch record execution and troubleshoot issues.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for analytical and formulation process improvements.
Oversee daily, monthly, and annual reporting on quality KPIs as well as maintain accurate records in ERP system. Continuously, improve SAS’s ERP system functionality to simplify and automate processes.
Review and control costs within the budget.
Drive continuous improvement projects.
