About The Position

Sand Cherry is seeking a Senior QA Validation Analyst to coordinate and manage the efforts of the QA Validation team while performing independent validation and quality assessments for complex, high-risk customer deliverables. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and overall readiness of data outputs prior to release. As the senior authority on validation decisions, this individual will own validation standards, checklists, and acceptance criteria, and will be responsible for investigating discrepancies, assessing risk, and recommending corrective actions. The role requires a balance of analytical rigor and pragmatic judgment, with the ability to clearly communicate data readiness, risks, and recommendations to project leadership and stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings proven leadership capabilities, enabling them to guide validation efforts, mentor team members, and ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes across engagements, particularly for high-visibility and high-risk customers. This is a remote role that will begin in April 2026. All qualified candidates MUST be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. Please note that we do not work C2C.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years professional experience in QA, data validation, and analytical problem-solving
  • Deep understanding of data models, data flows, and upstream/downstream dependencies
  • Proven experience validating large, complex, and high-volume datasets
  • Ability to make confident, independent decisions in ambiguous or high-risk scenarios
  • Strong risk assessment skills with sound judgment on severity, impact, and tradeoffs
  • Comfortable with SQL and data reconciliation
  • Bachelor’s degree is required

  • Experience working in regulated or high-compliance environments
  • Experience in cable, telecom or data reconciliation for large system/platform migrations
  • Ability to influence without authority and partner effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Clear, concise communicator capable of translating technical risks into business impact

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the independent validator and provide final sign-off for high-risk customers and deliverables
  • Own and continuously improve validation standards, checklists, and acceptance criteria
  • Investigate data discrepancies, assess root cause, and determine severity and impact
  • Identify and escalate systemic or recurring issues, recommending corrective and preventive actions
  • Coach and mentor QA analysts to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to standards across the team
  • Clearly communicate validation outcomes, risks, and release readiness to the Project Manager and stakeholders
