Autheo is building a virtual machine platform redefining decentralized computation with sub-microsecond execution, billions TPS, and mathematically proven security. As a part-time Senior QA Performance and Load Testing Engineer in an equity-based cofounder role, you’ll design and execute benchmarks and simulations for WASM-based runtimes, ensuring scalability and resilience for privacy-preserving smart contracts, DePIN compute tasks, and dApp deployments. This role is critical to verifying that our platform surpasses Ethereum’s EVM and Solana’s SVM by embedding cryptography, homomorphic encryption, and zero-knowledge proofs into performance layers for stable 0.4μs encrypted computations at 1B+ TPS. If you’re passionate about load simulation and bottleneck analysis, join us to validate the sovereign computation layer for the next trillion-dollar decentralized economy.

  • Performance Testing Strategies Architect load tests for cryptographic operations validating 0.4μs execution under 1B+ TPS stress.
  • Implement simulations for DAG-based executions ensuring topological workflows handle peak loads with zero overhead.
  • Design stress models for homomorphic encryption on encrypted state and DePIN datasets at exabyte scales.
  • Privacy-Preserving Load Handling Develop load tests for zero-knowledge proof systems under concurrency with 1-5ms proof validation.
  • Implement differential privacy testing (ε=0.5) for metadata protection.
  • Build secure enclave load tests for 1TB memory deployments.
  • Reliability & Observability Deploy testing to Kubernetes with 99.999% uptime using circuit breakers.
  • Implement OpenTelemetry tracing for 100% transaction paths (<15min MTTR).
  • Build ML-powered monitoring for performance optimization.
  • Collaboration & Innovation Collaborate with performance architects, cryptographers, blockchain experts, and DePIN specialists.
  • Lead performance reviews for scalability and compliance.
  • Mentor QA teams and contribute to open-source testing tools.
  • Publish at WasmCon 2026 on performance innovations.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in performance/load testing for high-throughput systems.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, and chaos engineering.
  • Proficiency in zk-proofs, distributed testing, and compliance auditing.
  • Background in blockchain/DePIN performance or AI infrastructure.
  • Experience with open-source testing tools or multi-cloud setups.
  • Contributions to performance standards or patents in reliability engineering.
