About The Position

We’re offering a unique opportunity to join Launch Legends (and Autheo) as a part-time Equity Cofounder . Founded nearly four years ago, Launch Legends is at the forefront of bridging Web3 blockchain technology with the next evolution of Web2 integration—bringing businesses on-chain through enterprise-grade solutions, DePIN innovations, and decentralized financial infrastructure. Our flagship project, Autheo , is an AI enabled Layer-Zero OS with an integrated Layer-1 blockchain and complete decentralized infrastructure thast includes decentralized compute, storage, identity, and service marketplaces, as well as a Full-stack development enveronment (DevHub)—engineered for scalable enterprise adoption, developer innovation, and real-world blockchain integration. We're building a world-class QA team to ensure excellence in our blockchain Layer-1/2 solutions, smart contracts, dApps, and decentralized infrastructure. As Penetration Tester, you'll proactively identify and exploit security vulnerabilities across systems, networks, applications, and blockchain-specific components, delivering actionable insights to strengthen our overall security posture in a high-stakes Web3 environment.

Requirements

7+ years of penetration testing experience from a network security background
Strong hands-on expertise with tools such as Nmap, Metasploit, and vulnerability scanners
Deep knowledge of networking, firewalls, security concepts, NIST, OWASP
Proven ethical hacking skills with relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, or equivalent)
Strong analytical skills
Ethical mindset with rigorous attention to detail and creative attack simulation
Clear technical communication for reporting vulnerabilities and remediation
Passion for proactive security in decentralized and high-value systems

Nice To Haves

Strong knowledge of automation and AI-driven security tooling
Experience in blockchain/Web3 security testing (smart contracts, dApps, DeFi protocols)

Responsibilities

Demonstrate expertise with best-in-class scanning and monitoring tools
Develop and execute penetration test scripts to scan, simulate attacks, identify, and exploit security weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications (including blockchain-relevant social engineering scenarios)
Execute test scripts and document findings in detailed reports with clear, actionable remediation recommendations
Drive regulatory compliance throughout security testing activities
Recommend improvements to security measures and controls to maintain cutting-edge protection
Collaborate on fixing identified vulnerabilities
Initial security assessment and scanning of priority systems and blockchain components
Execution of key penetration tests with documented findings and reports
Actionable remediation recommendations provided to engineering teams
Security testing processes integrated into ongoing QA workflows
