Systems Implementers, Inc. (SI) is a contracted implementation consulting firm performing work at Hill AFB in Utah. The Senior QA Engineer will spearhead the development and implementation of a comprehensive testing strategy for mission-critical applications. This role will be responsible for building a robust testing suite from the ground up using preexisting frameworks, including designing and executing test plans, writing and maintaining automated test scripts, and collaborating closely with other team members to formalize the testing process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software testing strategies, technical experience implementing testing suites, and a willingness to mentor others. This is a full-time, on-site position. Remote work is not available, and the applicant will be required to report to the designated work location during regular business hours.

  • Develop and implement a testing strategy
  • Develop and implement a testing suite
  • Create a system to perform functional, regression, and integration testing using JUnit and Jasmine + Karma testing frameworks.
  • Work with multiple teams of Software Engineers to:
  • Create and maintain JUnit and Jasmine + Karma testing platforms
  • Create and maintain test case standards and testing procedures
  • Perform test case peer reviews to ensure adherence to testing standards
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for SQL, Java, and Angular systems.
  • Train others in good testing practices to increase organizational understanding of the testing strategy, system, and standards
  • Identify, track, and utilize key QA metrics to improve mission critical application testing
  • Collaborate with others to clarify functionality and ensure smooth deployment of updates.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity and information assurance policies during testing activities.
  • Provide technical risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies .
  • Participate in post-implementation reviews .
  • Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience creating and implementing comprehensive testing strategies
  • Experience designing Unit, Integration, and Regression test suites
  • Experience testing mission critical software, preferably in a DoD environment
  • Experience with testing methodologies, defect tracking tools, and test management systems
  • Expertise with Java EE, specifically Spring and the JUnit testing framework
  • Expertise with Angular 15+, specifically using Jasmine + Karma testing frameworks
  • Expertise with Oracle SQL or Postgres SQL
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL queries,and data validation techniques
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, system requirements,and functional specifications
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to pass a DoD Background check
  • Ability to work on-site at Hill Air Force Base
  • Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • Experience working on Agile software development projects (e.g. Sprint, Kanban, etc.)
  • Experience designing Unit, Integration, and Regression test suites
  • Certification in any of: CSSLP, CISSP, CASP, or Scrum Master
  • Experience with any of the following technologies: JSON JPA/Hibernate Jira AJAX Maven Tomcat/WebLogic XML Eclipse SVN or Git
