Here’s What You’ll Do: Work back from the customer to drive and own Quality within your team, serving as a quality champion. Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders employing a "shift left" mentality and proactively identify systemic gaps in quality processes. Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to define, shape, and continuously refine the "definition of done" — ensuring quality standards evolve with the product and business needs. Lead by example in promoting a proactive quality culture. Go beyond finding and preventing bugs — identify patterns, root causes, and advocate for architectural and process changes that reduce risk. Drive our quality engineering vision by establishing, owning, and evangelizing best practices for automation, including frameworks, tooling standards, and coding guidelines. Lead, mentor and guide junior and mid-level automation engineers, conducting code reviews, providing technical direction. Assist in manual testing where applicable. We employ an automation first strategy, but manual testing is an important tool in our toolbox. Develop a deep, expert-level understanding of our product offerings and ecosystem and leverage that knowledge to define test coverage strategies that balance risk, velocity, and customer impact. Don't just write a lot of tests — write the right tests and help others do the same. Interpret complex documentation and requirements to independently create comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and risk assessments. Architect, design, and develop robust automated test solutions in collaboration with engineers, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and long-term efficiency. Lead and coordinate software release activities, acting as a quality gate and ensuring release readiness.
