Role and Responsibilities The candidate will be responsible for delivering both hands-on testing outputs and foundational QA artifacts that support consistent and reliable validation of application functionality. Deliverables include, but not limited to: Executed exploratory and functional testing across application features and workflows Develop, maintained, and executed test cases Test plans and master test plans that support structured testing efforts Documented defects with clear and reproducible steps for resolution Identify risk areas and provide recommendations for test coverage and prioritization Contributions to QA documentation standards and repeatable testing processes Automation contributions may occur where appropriate but not the primary delivery.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance or related field
  • Proven experience performing hands-on quality assurance testing in software applications
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile testing practices
  • Experience creating test cases, executing tests, and performing exploratory testing
  • Ability to develop or contribute to test plans and testing documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to identify risk areas and adjust testing depth accordingly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to less-experienced testers when needed
  • Comfortable working in environments without fully established QA processes
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing efforts

  • Experience with test automation tools or frameworks
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing principles (WCAG)
  • Experience working on enterprise or government systems
  • Experience contributing to or improving QA processes and standards
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or automated test execution
