About The Position

Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings has an opening for a Senior QA Analyst/Software at 531 South Spring St, Burlington, NC 27215. This is a remote position; can work anywhere in the U.S. The role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing testing solutions across various technology platforms including web-based, client-server, service-oriented, and mainframe systems. The candidate will work with LIMS applications and must have extensive hands-on experience in testing solutions. Responsibilities include identifying, planning, and executing testing activities to ensure high-quality software and compliance with regulatory statutes, policies, and procedures. The position requires testing of various development technologies such as web applications, desktop applications (VB or .Net), API/web services, and legacy/mainframe systems. The candidate will utilize middleware components like IBM's messaging queues for application validation and will complete various testing types such as white-box/black-box and functional testing. Additionally, the role involves creating and maintaining test plans, cases, test data, and summary artifacts, executing testing scenarios, providing work estimates for testing activities, and reporting on quality statistics and metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Systems or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Quality Analyst.
  • Experience using software quality tools to facilitate testing.
  • At least 4 years of experience with various lifecycle methodologies: Waterfall, Agile.
  • At least 4 years of experience with testing methods: Functional, Integration, System, User Acceptance, Usability.
  • At least 3 years of experience testing or using Mainframe, Web-based, .NET, VB, middleware components, API/services.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Software Tools: HP Quality Center/ALM, Microsoft TFS, JIRA/Zephyr, Confluence.

Responsibilities
