About The Position
The Senior Purchasing Agent is responsible for managing procurement processes and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulations. This role requires a general understanding of ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. The agent will establish and manage inventory programs such as Kanban and JIT, and must have a solid understanding of drawings, specifications, and units of measure. The position supports operational excellence initiatives and requires participation in continuous improvement efforts and training programs. The agent is expected to maintain a safe and orderly working environment, ensuring compliance with FOD standards and corporate policies. Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills are essential for developing and maintaining relationships with external suppliers and internal customers. The agent must demonstrate professionalism, make timely decisions, and contribute to efficient processes while achieving quality results under pressure. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
