Requirements

• A college degree is required.
• 3+ years of public relations experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, independent work environment.
• Strong project management and organizational/follow up skills.
• Proven ability to generate effective press materials with creative and unique angles, pitches and that generate coverage.
• Familiar with working in a news cycle and pitching to news outlets.
• Experience in publishing or media is preferred.
• Ability to travel on occasion.
• Excellent written and presentation skills along with interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Sr. publicist for Tyndale's book publishing groups and Alliance partners, NavPress and Focus on the Family.
• Develop strategic publicity plans and PR materials.
• Pitch and secure interviews, features, and review coverage with national and local media, including broadcast, print, podcasts and online blogs and sites.
• Cultivate relationships with media contacts, including TV/radio/podcast producers, book reviewers and influencers.
• Accompany authors to media bookings, author events and conventions as needed.
• Build strong relationships with authors, agents, marketing, sales and acquisitions teams.
• Work on Tyndale PR's social media.
• Ability to use PR software platforms such as Meltwater and Podchaser to pitch and follow-up with the media.
