The Public Safety & Regulatory Specialist contributes to public safety through the planning, scheduling and/or execution of the annual General Order (GO) 165 and/or 95 patrol, inspection, and/or corrective maintenance program. Incumbents perform day-to-day activities such as work verification of standards, proper documentation, tag preparation and receipt, including delivering regular metrics reporting through SAP, and other department systems. Responsibilities include following all company and regulatory safety requirements, standards and best practices while promoting a safety culture, and ensuring compliance with the Wildfire Mitigation Plan for work in high fire threat districts (HFTD) and high fire consequence areas (HFCA). Incumbent should expect to travel as a part of work schedule. Location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory between SF Service Center or San Carlos Service Center, please note hiring leader will make final decision of what are appropriate headquarters for the role based on business need. This specialist role will provide support to San Francisco and Peninsula Divisions; the incumbent will work 2-3 days per week in each of the respective two yards. Expected work hours 0700 to 1530 M-F. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory (San Francisco or San Carlos). PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $49.04 to $77.88 This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
