About The Position

As the Senior Public Relations Specialist for Hotels.com on the Expedia Brands PR team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing innovative public relations strategies that resonate with travelers and engage top-tier consumer media. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about storytelling and has a deep understanding of the consumer and travel media landscape. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders within the company to promote brand narratives in the U.S. and foster brand loyalty among target audiences. Your responsibilities will include developing strategic story angles and PR initiatives that lead to standout media coverage for Hotels.com, managing press materials, and implementing integrated communications plans that align with broader business objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for working with the U.S. Media Relations team to manage activities across earned, owned, and paid channels, including organizing press trips and media events. You will proactively identify opportunities to enhance brand love for Hotels.com through compelling storytelling, utilizing data and insights to inform your strategies. Additionally, you will monitor industry trends and competitor media coverage to stay ahead in the lodging and hotel industry. Your operational responsibilities will include vendor and agency management, tracking budgets, and developing coverage reports. You will also collaborate with the global crisis team to manage any reactive PR issues that may affect brand perception and the overall Expedia Group business.
