About The Position

Assists with patient treatment under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, occupational therapist, or assistant. Keeps an inventory and distributes departmental supplies. Maintains and logs departmental statistics and assists in the maintenance of patient charts. Maintains safe and clean treatment areas and inspects all therapeutic equipment monthly. Schedules new and return patient appointments, as needed. Performs clerical tasks, as needed, to support regulatory and plan of care compliance. Includes obtaining Medicare certifications and renewals within required timeframe, maintaining accurate records of no show and cancelled patients, and making follow-up calls to patients. Promotes professional growth and provides community education and/or committee representation. Performs other position related duties as assigned. Provides appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of North Carolina with current licensure.
  • CPR Certification every two year
  • High school diploma required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and CPR for Healthcare Professionals, Level C required.
