The Senior Psychologist is responsible for overseeing the clinical treatment planning for all youth within the cottage(s) to which they are assigned. The Senior Psychologist is responsible for providing clinical services to residents who present with wide array of treatment targets including histories of causing sexual harm. The role also entails actively including the residents' families in the treatment. The Senior Psychologist will be engaged in treatment, assessment, and consultation. The Senior Psychologist shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) team, supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The Senior Psychologist is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior modification (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). The Senior Psychologist is required to function as part of a multidisciplinary team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents.
