The Senior Provider Data Specialist manages end-to-end provider credentialing and access for skilled nursing facilities, ensuring accurate and timely completion of applications, documentation and EMR access. This role partners with providers and facilities to support compliance quality audits and process improvement across expanding markets. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6 AM- 9 PM, 40 hour/week Location: REMOTE – Nationally You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of experience with credentialing in healthcare
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical office or hospital setting
  • Intermediate level of knowledge with EMR access
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel and Word
  • All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all activities associated with credentialing or re-credentialing providers
  • Includes processing provider applications and re-applications including initial mailing, review, and loading into the database tracking system ensuring high quality standards are maintained
  • Conducts audits and provides feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance
  • Responsible for the development of credentialing policies and procedures. May oversee primary source verification activities
  • Other duties as assigned
