About The Position

The Senior Proposal Manager at GHD, Inc. is responsible for leading pursuit and proposal activities within the Northeast Region. This role involves managing cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans for proposals, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements, and driving the proposal process from inception to delivery. The position requires creativity, innovation, and strong leadership skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams, ultimately aiming to secure competitive bids for engineering, construction, or professional services projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in English, Business, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related major.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading the proposal process from pre-positioning phases through interview.
  • Proven skill to manage and work effortlessly with Technical Leaders in any market and service line.
  • Proven leadership and strategy development skills.
  • Proven skill to strategize and develop strong marketing, pursuit, and proposal win themes and differentiators.
  • Extensive expertise and skills in the proposal process.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and assignments.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Even tempered in fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Flexible and able to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Expert in Microsoft Suite, Adobe PDF, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign) and Photoshop.

  • Participation in industry organizations such as APMP, SMPS, and AMA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage priority pursuit efforts cross functionally across the Americas.
  • Lead proposal strategy discussions, GNGs, and kick-off meetings for priority pursuits.
  • Drive development and manage proposal team including technical leaders, marketing coordinators, technical writers, and graphics.
  • Manage capture and proposal teams through the development and production process from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with the team in developing various proposal sections including Management, Personnel, Executive Summaries, and other Volumes as assigned.
  • Facilitate color reviews and check-in reviews.
  • Facilitate production and delivery of finished product while complying with all RFP requirements.
  • Lead interview strategy discussions and manage the interview development and production process.
  • Engage in project-specific and client capture planning with NRMLs.
  • Attend interview preparation and practice sessions, supporting the team with presentation skills and delivery.
  • Attend client pre-proposal and debrief meetings, sharing lessons learned and best practices across teams.
