About The Position

Senior Property Tax Consultant – Energy & Industrial Services KE Andrews is not looking for someone to manage a checklist. We're looking for a senior professional who can walk into a complex oil and gas or personal property engagement, assess the situation, build the strategy, and see it through to resolution — independently and with conviction. If you have five or more years of property tax experience and you've been the one doing the real technical work, we want to talk.

Requirements

• 5+ years of property tax consulting or appraisal experience with direct exposure to complex personal property and oil and gas valuations
• The ability to build a defensible valuation position from the ground up — not inherit one
• Command of income, cost, and market approaches and the judgment to know when each applies
• Fluency in core finance and valuation concepts: discounted cash flow, time value of money, depreciation, and capitalization rates
• Advanced Excel skills and the analytical instincts to back them up
• Communication skills sharp enough to hold a room — whether that's a client briefing, an appraisal district negotiation, or an ARB hearing
• A verifiable track record of reduced assessments and successful appeals
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Business

Responsibilities

• Full technical and strategic execution of complex personal property and oil and gas property tax engagements — valuation, appeal strategy, negotiation, and final resolution
• Development and defense of well-supported valuation positions using income, cost, and market approaches
• Direct client advisory relationships on high-stakes accounts — you are the expert, not the liaison
• Assessment appeal preparation and execution, including formal protests, appraisal review board hearings, and binding arbitration or litigation support where required
• Proactive identification of tax savings opportunities and portfolio-level risk exposure
• Raising the floor for junior consultants through mentorship and technical leadership
