Aon is seeking a Senior Property Risk Consultant - Account Manager to join our Property Consulting Group in Denver, Colorado. This role is pivotal in supporting Aon's Property Risk Consulting Group, where the successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues and clients to assess and understand various property risks, including those posed by fire, earthquake, flood, and other natural catastrophes. The position requires a deep understanding of property risk management and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in High Protected Risk (HPR) property engineering, familiarity with NFPA and Factory Mutual standards, and a solid grasp of property insurance policy terms and conditions. In this role, the Account Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with clients, carriers, and insurance brokerages. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the candidate will need to explain complex property risk management concepts to prospective clients and internal business groups. The position involves significant travel, estimated at 40-50% primarily within the U.S., to conduct property risk control surveys and develop underwriting reports for various occupancies. The successful applicant will also be involved in data assembly, brokerage submission information, and vendor management, ensuring that all aspects of property risk consulting are handled with precision and expertise. The candidate will be expected to conduct natural catastrophe surveys, analyze flood exposures in accordance with NIFP and FEMA guidelines, and develop Maximum Foreseeable Loss (MFL), Probable Maximum Loss (PML), and Normal Loss Estimates (NLE). The role requires problem-solving skills to address technical fire protection issues using established client standards and best practices. The successful candidate will be self-sufficient, organized, and possess strong written and oral communication skills, along with the physical capability to access various building areas during surveys.
