Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management, with a track record of successfully managing residential properties.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to resident relations.
  • Proficiency in property management software and other relevant technology.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Rural Development properties is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Develop, monitor, and achieve the financial goals of the property, ensuring profitability and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Leadership: Supervise and mentor on-site staff, including leasing agents, maintenance personnel, and administrative staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Resident Relations: Maintain exceptional resident relations by addressing concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of resident satisfaction and community engagement.
  • Marketing and Outreach: Strategize and implement effective marketing plans to attract and retain residents, focusing on target markets and community outreach initiatives.
  • Leasing Management: Oversee all leasing activities, ensuring high occupancy rates and compliance with leasing policies and procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and policies.
  • Rent Collection and Accounting: Manage rent collection processes, maintain accurate rent ledgers, and oversee bank deposits and petty cash records.
  • Delinquency and Evictions: Address delinquent rents and manage eviction processes, collaborating with the compliance team as necessary.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Supervise maintenance activities, ensuring timely repairs, preventive maintenance, and property improvements.
  • Grounds Management: Oversee landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal activities to maintain aesthetic and safety standards.
  • Budgeting: Collaborate with the Regional Supervisor to develop and monitor annual budget objectives, ensuring financial health and sustainability.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize property management software effectively for operational efficiency.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the property.
