Marsh USA LLC is seeking candidates for the following full-time position based in the San Francisco, CA office (A hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.): Senior Property Advisor We will count on you to: Use information about market practices, pricing, and underwriting policies to match clients' insurance needs with appropriate carrier coverage. Coordinate with advisors and client executives to evaluate and select the best insurance carrier coverage quotes for clients. Formulate placement strategy by utilizing risk expertise and knowledge of industry and carriers to develop solutions that meet difficult client needs. Devise go-to-market strategy, advocate for the value of placement function, and participate within pricing of services as applicable. Instruct the submission of coverage specifications and obtain quotes from carriers based upon the "assist, advise, and assume" transaction model. Consult with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production. Inspect the binding of coverage and ensure accuracy of placement binders. Drive and build relationships with practice, insurance markets, clients, carriers, and/or underwriters to provide cohesive client service. Keep up to date on changing insurance and risk management market conditions and inform client executives, client advisors, and/or clients of major developments affecting various types of products/coverage. Lead complex placement/technical support activities on big accounts, such as ensuring procedural compliance, reviewing data and updating annual renewal exhibits, and maintaining accurate placement system entries, to ensure contract execution as required. What you need to have: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field plus four (4) years of experience with property and casualty (P&C) insurance placement in the position offered, as an International Broker, Placement Specialist, or a related position. Must have four (4) years of experience with all of the following: Forecasting changing insurance and risk management market conditions and informing client executives, client advisors, and clients of major developments affecting products and coverage; Global risk management including loss prevention and risk control; Matching client risk needs with suitable insurance products, performing underwriting risk assessment and facilitating clients' interactions regarding claims for various insurance products, property indemnity, catastrophe bonds, and parametric products; Negotiating to secure competitive premiums and coverage terms with insurance carriers, considering applicable laws, regulations, and market trends nationally and internationally; Identifying gaps in existing coverage to match emerging risks; Analyzing existing data to recommend optimized insurance solutions. 10% domestic and international travel is required to various and unanticipated company and client sites. The applicable base salary range for this role is $195,000 - $342,200 per year. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
