About The Position

OakPoint Real Estate is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to support our growing portfolio of primarily office assets. This role will take ownership of the full-cycle accounting process for a portfolio of approximately 10 properties, working closely with property management and portfolio management teams to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. This is a high-impact role with direct exposure to U.S.-based leadership and an opportunity to grow within a dynamic real estate investment firm. The position is fully remote and will be hired through our offshore partner, Hire5.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of property accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate
  • Hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager (strongly preferred)
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and real estate accounting principles
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, international environment
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Own the full-cycle property accounting process for a portfolio of ~10 office assets
  • Lead the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records within Yardi Voyager
  • Support cash management activities, including initiating wires (no approval authority)
  • Partner with AR/AP team to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Collaborate with property management and portfolio management teams
  • Support audit, lender, and investor reporting as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
