About The Position

A well-established, highly profitable commercial real estate company in Springdale is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their team. This is a high-impact, visible role within a growing organization that values initiative, collaboration, and operational excellence. You won’t just “keep the books.” You’ll play a key role in supporting leadership, strengthening processes, and ensuring financial accuracy across a dynamic real estate portfolio.

Requirements

3+ years of property accounting experience (commercial real estate required)
Strong proficiency in Yardi and QuickBooks
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Experience working within a small to mid-sized company
Comfortable participating in meetings and financial discussions (not a back-office-only role)
Ability to hit the ground running and operate independently

Nice To Haves

Experience implementing or optimizing Yardi features
Led or supported a Yardi conversion or process streamlining initiative

Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounting for commercial real estate properties
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger (accrual basis for CRE entities)
Handle transactions, reporting, and financial statement preparation
Enter and manage leases in Yardi
Review financials provided to banks (significant loan activity exposure)
Liaise directly with the external CPA firm on tax matters and financial reviews
Assist leadership with budgeting and financial analysis (no formal budgeting process currently in place — you’ll help build it)
Support transition of accounting responsibilities from long-time family oversight
Potential exposure to straightforward personal financials (QuickBooks, cash basis)
Cross-train across accounting functions to build depth and continuity within the department
