Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 5+ years of relevant experience. CPA or advanced degree a plus.
- 1-2+ years of recent hands on experience with YARDI Voyager is a MUST
- Experience in commercial property accounting with solid understanding of recoveries and various lease types
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Thrive in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
- Get it done attitude and strong sense of ownership
Nice To Haves
- CPA or advanced degree a plus.
Responsibilities
- Day to day/full cycle accounting for a portfolio of industrial/commercial real estate properties
- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP for assigned properties including bank reconciliations, journal entries, reclasses, expense accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and maintenance of supporting workpapers
- Monitor cash and ensure sufficient liquidity for properties
- Enter tenant receipts, monitor outstanding receivables and work with property managers to resolve any open balances
- Review and approve payables in Yardi/Procure to Pay workflow
- Review rent roll to ensure accuracy
- Prepare annual CAM, Tax, and Insurance reconciliations based on tenant leases
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax reporting
- Work with property managers to review variance explanations and monthly accruals
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
- Dedication to continuously improve accounting processes
- Assist with special tasks and projects as requested
