Senior Project Surveyor
About The Position
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Project Surveyor to join their Surveying team in their Toledo offices. Colliers Engineering & Design’s survey professionals have the expertise to achieve highly accurate results while maintaining quality control over data collected, from field to office, and precision of the final client deliverables. The role involves administering conventional surveying methods, cutting-edge geospatial scanning techniques, or a combination of both. Professionally licensed land surveyors, highly-trained office technicians, and field crews work together to provide responsive and consistent professional survey services, ensuring the most accurate surveying and measurement services for clients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED is required
- 5+ years of related surveying experience is required
- PLS License in Ohio is required
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, TBC (Trimble Business Center)
- Proficient various data techniques and coding systems
- Advanced knowledge of various surveying instruments, techniques, and computations
- Advanced understanding of angular and linear measurement systems
- Advanced knowledge of trigonometry and geometry
- Valid drivers’ license required and ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions
- Requires a pre-employment drug screen
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or equivalent technical experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Analyze and prepare complete boundary survey by compiling record data and providing sound analysis and reason for accurate property line location.
- Perform Quality Control review on reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents prepared by others for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide assistance to staff in the preparation of reports/findings, plans, and other contract documents.
- Organize and coordinate the work of field and office staff required to complete design, field and/or other tasks on more complex projects.
- Assist in the preparation of project/task work plans.
- Provide direction to staff to complete project objectives.
- Monitor the work efforts of assigned staff including sub-consultants and/or contractors.
- May supervise assignments given to the Survey Technician(s).
