We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with 8-15 years of structural engineering experience related to Buildings (commercial, residential, institutional) to support our operations in San Francisco. The incumbent Candidate will have the opportunity to work with a highly collaborative and creative team on a diverse portfolio of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
  • 8-15 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required.
  • Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM).
  • Working knowledge of REVIT.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
  • P.E. license required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
  • S.E. license would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in historic buildings preservation would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
  • Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
  • Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
  • Project Management of staff and clients on large and/or complex projects
  • Support Studio Leaders in managing staff and financials
  • Providing mentoring and guidance to junior staff.
  • Maintaining involvement in professional organizations to keep abreast of new industry developments.
