The Senior Project Manager at Westinghouse Electric is responsible for overseeing project management processes for low to medium complexity projects. This role involves leading small teams, managing project planning, execution, monitoring, and closing, while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and promoting continuous improvement within the team.

  • Lead project management processes on low complexity projects or portions of medium complexity projects.
  • Complete all aspects of project planning including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
  • Manage project execution, monitoring, and controlling, ensuring adherence to project plans and departmental protocols.
  • Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements and changes to functional groups following an integrated change management process.
  • Coordinate project communications to keep team, customer, and stakeholders informed of project status.
  • Maintain project databases, systems, and procedures for efficient handling of project correspondence and documentation.
  • Properly close projects by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems.
  • Perform final project quality assessments and report findings.
  • Develop positive relationships with team members, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities to add value to project execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 4+ years of project management experience or 2 years of project management experience combined with 2 years in a technical role in the nuclear or construction industry.
  • Familiarity with the Project Management Institute's / Project Management Body of Knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to transform data into information for visual reports and manage data within systems.
  • High-quality presentation skills.
