Requirements

  • Bachelor degree and 10 or more years of related project management experience.
  • PMI Project Management Professional Certification required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of CNC machine technology and applications.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient.
  • Organized and analytical with creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Ability to handle occasional travel.
  • Knowledge of Sales Force and Microsoft D365.
  • Possess a valid US driving license and a good driving record.
  • Possess a current US Passport.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, coordinate and track to completion all tasks related to new machine projects.
  • Responsible for significant, enterprise wide projects, typically with large budgets and sizeable staff.
  • Focus on meeting project commitments, including communications with sponsors, stakeholders, customers.
  • Understand strategic or operational responsibilities.
  • Lead and coordinate the design, testing, planning, and implementation of complex projects for customers.
  • Cultivate contacts with vendors, planners or other builders to obtain information about future developments.
  • Participate in outside professional activities to maintain professional knowledge.
  • Establish liaisons with customers and other vendors to keep abreast of status of new product developments.
  • Continuously improve project management toolkits and methodologies used within Morris South.
  • Provide expertise and consulting to project managers in project management and team dynamics.
  • Responsible for project growth, marketing new technology and/or follow-on business arrangements.
  • Work with key stakeholders to analyze projects and ensure proper planning with resources and time allocations.
  • Work with the Pre-Sales Team to properly price management aspects of the project.
  • Create a Risk Register and identify risks associated with the project.
  • Define and manage all aspects of the project as stipulated in the customer’s Statement of Work.
  • Create a project timeline showing discrete tasks associated with each project.
  • Lead an Internal Project Kick Off Meeting with key stakeholders.
  • Develop, track and control schedule, budget, deliverables.
  • Lead an external Project Kick Off Meeting with the customer’s stakeholders.
  • Identify, track and update all active projects via a Weekly Status Report.
  • Review the Installation Checklist/Workbook for installation purposes.
  • Coordinate with Sales to determine delivery and installation expectations.
  • Coordinate with Engineering for customer training on the machine.
  • Coordinate with Contracts to ensure timely ordering of the machine and options.
  • Establish a culture of constant improvement.
  • Identify trends associated with equipment installations that negatively impact the overall process.
  • Review post installation reports for lessons learned.
