If you love managing large, complex construction projects, mentoring others, and are passionate about safety, Southland has an opportunity for you as a Senior Project Manager. This position is responsible for managing a project team for a single large complex project or multiple smaller projects, including providing coaching and performance feedback. In addition, this role serves as the primary point of contact for the project.

  • Develop and implement strategies and plans to ensure your team meets or exceeds the project delivery contractually and financially.
  • Measure and report progress, and develop tactics to ensure the project stays on track.
  • Develop client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
  • Partner with management to develop and implement project strategies.
  • Manage budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for the project.
  • Participate in project meetings with internal departments to discuss project schedule and issues as needed.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.
  • Delegate work and serve as mentor to project team, providing coaching and performance feedback as necessary.
  • Direct and motivate teams through all phases of multiple large-scale projects.
  • Mentor Project Managers and Project Engineers to prepare them for the next step in their profession.
  • Utilize the latest construction industry trends and pioneer new trends as they emerge.
  • Develop and nurture customer relationships beyond a single project.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 15+ years of experience managing mid to large size MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) projects.
