About The Position

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading complex projects that improve member care delivery and operational efficiency. This role requires strategic oversight from project initiation to successful completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory compliance. The Senior Project Manager will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and mitigate risks to deliver projects on time and within scope. They will serve as a key liaison between functional areas and executive leadership to facilitate clear communication and stakeholder engagement. Ultimately, this position drives transformative healthcare initiatives that enhance service quality and member outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including developing and managing complex project schedules and project portfolios.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Health Administration, Public Health, or Business Administration.
  • Experience with system implementations or upgrades.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement credentials.
  • Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, or health systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, and resources.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration among clinical, administrative, and technical stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress, address risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Communicate project status and outcomes to stakeholders while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Facilitate change management and conduct post-project evaluations to support adoption and continuous improvement.
